General Care Rules

• Always check the care label inside your shirt before washing.
• Turn shirts inside out before washing to protect the fabric surface.
• Never wring or twist — gently squeeze out excess water.
• Store shirts on proper hangers to maintain their shape.

By Fabric Type

Italian Poplin Cotton

• Wash: Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle.
• Dry: Lay flat or hang dry. Avoid tumble drying.
• Iron: Iron on medium heat while slightly damp for best results.
• Dry Clean: Suitable for dry cleaning.

Oxford Weave

• Wash: Machine wash at 30°C. Wash with similar colours.
• Dry: Tumble dry on low heat or hang to dry.
• Iron: Iron on medium-high heat.
• Dry Clean: Suitable for dry cleaning.

Madras Check

• Wash: Hand wash or machine wash cold (20°C) to preserve colours.
• Dry: Always hang dry — do not tumble dry.
• Iron: Iron on low heat, inside out.
• Dry Clean: Recommended for best results.

Italian Silk (Scarves)

• Wash: Dry clean only. Do not machine wash.
• Store: Fold loosely or roll — never hang silk scarves.
• Iron: Use a cool iron with a pressing cloth between iron and fabric.

Stain Removal Tips

• Act quickly — blot (do not rub) stains immediately with cold water.
• For oil-based stains, apply a small amount of dish soap before washing.
• For stubborn stains, take to a professional dry cleaner.
• Never use bleach on Charles Caine garments.
